Rain Gauge Network and Calculation of Rain Gauge Station

What is Rain Gauge Network ?

It is nothing but the well distributed network of rain gauge station within the catchment area. 
For the general study of storm we required less number of rain gauges per unit area and while calculating or determining the rainfall pattern then we require maximum number of rain gauge stations.
